A Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Fray, Astonishing X-Men) TV series creation that was cancelled by the Fox network after airing only 11 of the 13 produced episodes. Set 500 years in the future, the crew of Serenity, a model of transport-class spaceship known as a Firefly, under the command of Captain Malcolm Reynolds, flies the outskirts of settled space, avoiding the ruling power of the Alliance, and picking up whatever jobs they can find.
The following are the main cast of FIREFLY. All of them appear in the movie SERENITY, which takes place about 6 months after the last episode of the TV series. Clicking on a link will open a new browser window with the related Internet Movie Database page.

For those of you who missed the individual issues of the 3-part Firefly comic written by Joss, rejoice, for you can get the whole collection called "Those Left Behind" with all of the alternate covers, new art on the front and back, and a most fine introduction written by Nathan Fillion (not only is he pretty, he can write). This story takes place after the end of the Firefly TV series, and before the beginning of the SERENITY movie. Read this graphic novel if you want to know why not all of our crew is on the boat ...
